Hohou te Rongo Kahukura are delighted to invite you to a special Rainbow Art Exhibition, celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week and the wonderful visual art of our very own Carole Fraser.
Carole (she/her) is non-binary, trans, asexual, and Pākehā. She is an experienced facilitator of trans women's support groups and LGBTQ+ addiction recovery in both individual and group sessions. She is also a lead facilitator for Club Kahukura. Carole first identified as queer in 1976 while living and working in France, before terms such as transgender and gender-fluid existed for her. She taught adults and adolescents, retiring in 2008 to give more time to her visual art practice. We warmly invite you to come and join us in celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week, art, and belonging.
The Exhibition will also be open on Sunday, 18th, Monday, 19th, and Wednesday, 21st, between 10am to 2pm.
The Exhibition will be held at our premises at 100 Morrinsville Road, in the auditorium room, which can be accessed through Ethos Cafe (there will be signage to guide you on the day).
This is an amazing opportunity to showcase some amazing queer talent, and we would love to see you there!
